About Us

Giving vulnerable cats a safe path to healing and a chance at a loving, permanent home.

Who We Are

South Carolina Community Cat Project is a foster-based, no-kill, 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue serving Inman, Boiling Springs, and the greater Spartanburg County area. We are dedicated to the cats who need us most.

Why We Exist

Our community faces ongoing challenges of abandoned pets, shelter overcrowding, preventable euthanasia, and cats with medical needs who are often overlooked. Many come to us sick, injured, underweight, or afraid. We are here to make sure they are not forgotten.

What We Do

  • Rescue and intake of vulnerable cats
  • Compassionate medical treatment
  • Foster-home rehabilitation & socialization
  • Responsible adoption placement
  • Community education & advocacy

Each cat receives individualized care, including vaccinations, microchipping, deworming, flea prevention, and spay/neuter.

How We Operate

We do not have a brick-and-mortar shelter. Instead, our cats recover and grow in loving foster homes.

Foster Homes

Where cats receive daily care, medical management, and emotional stability.

Volunteers

Our rescue is powered by dedicated volunteers who open their homes and hearts.

Donors

Contributions directly fund veterinary care and essential supplies.

Our Core Values

Compassion

Every cat is treated with dignity and respect.

Responsibility

Ethical rescue and thorough veterinary care.

Transparency

Open with our community about needs and outcomes.

Advocacy

We speak for the cats who cannot speak for themselves.

Commitment

Once a cat enters our care, they are family for life.

Our Impact

While we are a small foster-based rescue, our reach is meaningful. Each year, we save cats who would otherwise be euthanized due to overcrowding, abandoned with medical needs, or orphaned without support.

"Our greatest successes are the stories of cats who arrived scared or broken and left healed, loved, and home."
